Option 'f' --> File for Search Expressions. By default, QTGrep
uses
the first non-option argument on the command line as the Regular
Expression
or Keyword for which to search. If the user desires to search for
more
than one Regular Expression or Keyword, then a file containing the
Regular
Expressions or Keywords must be used to input them to QTGrep. The
name
of the file containing the Regular Expression(s) or Keyword(s) is
specified
to QTGrep via this option. In addition, if the internal form of
the
Regular Expression(s) or Keyword(s) has been written to a file via the
'a'
option, then this option must be used to input that file to
QTGrep.
Multiple ASCII pattern files may be specified. Only one internal
form
pattern file may be specified. Multiple ASCII pattern files may
also
be input using the '#i' include operator in an ASCII pattern
file.
For more information on the 'include operator', see the '?#'
information
screens.
The file path and name can be specified in several ways to
QTGrep.
For more information on specifying option values to QTGrep, please see
the
information under the '?=' option.
The corresponding long option is: --file=FILENAME
