Query Expressions

Option 'q' --> Query, Output Search Expressions. If long and complicated Regular Expression search patterns are input to QTGrep with numerous Named Expressions, it is possible sometimes to obtain unexpected match strings. In some cases is may be desirable to view the Regular Expression search patterns obtained by QTGrep after all Named Expressions and repeat pattern operators have been fully expanded. Invoking this option will force QTGrep to output the fully expanded Regular Expression search patterns to the Standard Output File and quit.

W	Write Compiled Search Patterns
Z	File Preview
