Option 'u' --> Scan File to Uppercase. QTGrep distinguishes
between
UPPER case and lower case alphabetic characters, i.e., 'A' and 'a' are
not
the same. If the user desires to scan and have no distinction
between
upper case and lower case alphabetic characters, i.e., 'a' should match
both
'a' and 'A', then this option should be used to force all alphabetic
characters
in the files scanned to upper case, and all search patterns should be
in
upper case. If any character in a search pattern is in lower
case,
that pattern will not match while this option is in effect.
Note: This does not alter the actual files scanned, only their
form
internal to QTGrep as scanned.
The use of the 'i' command line option should be used for true
"caseless"
searches.
This is a local option and may be turned on or off for separate files
as
desired.
